The work in this exhibition is of an investigative and technically experimental nature, focusing on space, colour and the texture of geographically differing types of terrain, and how it is affected by climate, season, atmosphere and the activities of man.
The styles of work represented range from the meticulous, topographical studies of the 1980s to the spontaneous and interpretative approach that characterizes his current output.A long-term ongoing project, very much dependent on the use of his unique “mobile studio”, this portfolio is subject to constant change and renewal, fresh work being added or substituted as he plies his craft across his native West Midlands and Continental Europe.
As with all his exhibitions, the work produced on location is backed up by information panels featuring documentary photographs, maps and insights provided by excerpts from his field diaries.
Illustrated slide lectures and “Meet the Artist” sessions are also available.
Merchandise. Postcards and booklets are available.
