This continuously evolving collection works (currently comprising of more than 200 drawings and paintings) has been produced exclusively on location in the 1914-18 Battlefields of the Western Front over a period of 25 years by this prolific and adventurous artist-painter.

The available work (totalling some 150 linear metres) has never before been exhibited in its entirety although significant sections have formed major solo and touring exhibitions in venues as diverse as Durham Light Infantry Museum, Blackburn City Art Gallery, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, L’ Espace Culturel d’Albert, Le Centre Mondial de la Paix, Verdun, Der Volksbank Halle, Rheinland Pfalz, and the Council of Europe, Strasbourg.

A committed internationalist and prominent member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Perry has been awarded Honorary Citizenship of the town of Albert (epicentre of the Battle of the Somme) and his work in the battlefields has been extensively covered on British and French Television.

His uniquely intimate visual knowledge of obscure sites and rarely visited areas of the battlefields, gained through years of research, on-site exploration of the slowly decaying evidences and contact with local people make this exhibition a memorable and thought-provoking experience.
